Oct 2, 2018 - Tue 02 Oct 2018 03 14 00 GMT suzuki g15a engine manual pdf This is a list of automobile engines developed and sold by the Suzuki Motor. Are you talking block or whole engine assembly G16b blocks have 4 dimples on the pistions, 16v pistons. Forged crank is urban ledged for 16B, cept, GTI swifts with G16B and turbo stock. Quote The block on the 16V DOHC swift GT has FORGED crank, rods and pistons, the block on the SOHC engine has nothing forged. Unquote center counter weights on B. So SN mark shown is true. Some body tags have truth too. And last and best. Quote: I have worked in a place which specialises in suzuki's for the past 27 months, here is what i can tell youThe G16A came out in both 8V carby, 8V CPI and 16V format, all are SOHC config. In 16V format the G16A was ONLY ever in Japanese assembled vehicles, the G16B was the oversea produced engine. Suzuki G15a Engine ManualThe G16B, all 16V SOHC config, comes in both CPI and MPI configs, the sumps on the vitara/escudo are not interchangable between G16A 16V and G16B 16V.There is also the G15A motor which came in bot CPI and MPI format both 16V SOHC. They are essentially the same block as the G16A, just they are 10mm shorter in the deck height, they have the same Bell Housing wing span, which is both wider than the G13A and G13B which share the same span. The G16B 16V SOHC head has more casting webbing than the G16A SOHC head has, all heads are essentially interchangable between the G13A/B G15A and G16A/B as the bore variation is so minor, the G13B 16V head is the same head found on the G16A/B it even has the same Casting numbers in it from the molds used. What more do you want to know????? Fire away and i'll see what i can answer.Yes a G15A can be put into a Vitara and yes they go quite well:P unquote. Now what do you want.? I checked the blue plate but mine is blank as well. I tried lookingo n the bell housing but couldnt see anything. I happened to come across the specs of the engines in the owners manual and it shows that the G16A and G16B have different compression ratios. As far as why i need this info, i want to do a tuneup to get it ready for winter and i'd like to get new plugs and wires. I came across this website: and i'd like to give them a try since i want new plugs anyway. To order the plugs i need to know what motor i have. Thanks for the info. Attached is the factory TSB on sparks. NGK heat ranges, high= colder, low =hotter. Referring to engines as A or B is problematic. (as you and others discovered) the choice of 8v and 16 is far clearer and much easier to discover. But you can tell by the heat range. The 16v runs a colder plug. I track snake oil for a hobby and there are no independent studies that any of the 100+ magic $15 -20 spark plugs make any improvement to anything, except their fat wallets. (waiting to be wrong, no takers, only testimony for Brittany Spears, and the like) IMHO. ( read SAE.org) recommend, taking the extra $52 and change all fluids. Your suz will love that. ( if that is done, a new fresh Bosch O2 sensor up the MPG and lower the emissions) By the way they sold these back in 1965, diff name same deal, same results and no proof since then. Back they the sold them and public carnival. (dog and pony and all) i posted the engine diffs. Cuz i thought you ware looking for forged parts, not sparkies. Customers are invited to participate in a survey administered by MaritzCX, an independent, third-party supplier. How are ratings and reviews collected? Ford fusion workshop manual 2018 jeep. Ok, hope they work out for you. What year car, if old early 90s just stick to the orig. Suz grades versus climate. The old car were never designed for light weight (econo ) oils. 5w and the like. Clearances, pump volumn and pressure are all diff between generations. In fact there was a blub about that on there main web suzuki site. I think changing it often, beats running syn. Lube longer any day. Think of all that fine grit sand that gets past all air filters. Some gets in the oil,so no mater what oil you have, it cant hide that. Hope that helps. The 2 motors have diff. Ok, i'll just stick with the standard stuff. Its a 1994, btw. Suzuki G15a Service ManualEDIT: while looking through my owners manual on page 14-2 of the specifications i found this. ENGINE Type G16A (8 valve SOHC) or G16B (16 valve SOHC) Num of Cylinders 4 Bore 75.0mm (2.95 in) Stroke 90.0mm (3.54 in) Piston Displacment 1590cm (1590cc, 97.0 cu.in) Compression ratio 8.9: 1 (G16A), 9.5: 1 (G16 ELECTRICAL Ignition Timing 8° B.T.D.C at 800RPM (G16A) 5° B.T.D.C at 800RPM (G16 Standard Spark Plug NIPPONDENSO W16EXR-U or NGK BPR5ES (or AC R43XLS) (G16A) NIPPONDENSO K2PR-U or NGK BKR6E (or AC.FR2LS) so, from what this says, the 16v 'should' be the G16B, it 'should' have a higher compression, different timing and different plugs. Should i go by what this says when buying plugs or do you all have the correct part number for some plugs?
